When I was a kid I loved dressing up. My mum had this mental 80’s palette of eye-colours and I clearly remember practising that 80’s rainbow eye on my little sister, copied from the pages of Vogue.
I’m really excited by all the colour in hair and make-up at the moment. It’s such a contrast to all the scandi and far eastern inspired minimalism and the big “How to look good Bored” trend.
By now you’ll all have seen Jessie J’s jewel encrusted lips. Artist Paige Thompson takes it to another level painting animals round her mouth represented in various emotional states. Probably not going to be backed by Boots but I can certainly think of at least one persons who’s lips and persona are big enough to fit the bill.

This Sunday, head down to WAH Nails in Dalston to fritter away your cash on some highly sought brands or second hand treasure, all for a good cause. There will be music, drinks and most importantly, cake. 100% of the proceeds go towards the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami appeal. If you don’t know, now you know.
